Speech is a very rewarding and oftentimes creative event. Speech is MANDATORY for all team members and failure to compete will result in a drop in your grade for class members.

Congress is the most popular event among our team members and is exactly what it sounds like. Prior to congress tournaments you will be given a list of bills that will be discussed. You will research the bills and write several speeches. At the tournament, you will be assembled in a room with other debaters as well as several judges. The judges are most concerned with your ability to speak clearly and present valid arguments.
